Ingleton Wood proudly welcomed representatives from St Elizabeth Hospice and ROSE Builders to our Colchester office for a special cheque presentation following the success of our 10th annual charity football tournament.
Held in June 2025, our latest tournament brought together 16 teams from local businesses for an afternoon of competitive spirit and community fundraising, with over £1,800 raised on the day. This brought Ingleton Wood’s total tournament donations for the hospice to more than £13,000 over the past decade.
This year’s tournament champions, ROSE Builders, joined Ingleton Wood in presenting the cheque to Liz Baldwin, Corporate and Sponsorship Fundraising Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, who spoke about the vital importance of community fundraising.
“We are so very grateful to Ingleton Wood for hosting their 10th Charity Football Tournament, and to everyone who took part, in support of St Elizabeth Hospice,” Liz said. “Each year, it costs around £12 million to run our services, and with only 30% funded by the NHS, community support like this is essential. Thank you for helping us continue to care for those with life-limiting illnesses.”
The visit served as a moment to reflect on the positive impact of community events in raising both funds and awareness for essential care services across the region.
Whether you’ve laced up your boots, cheered from the sidelines, or supported behind the scenes, Ingleton Wood thanks everyone who has taken part in our tournament over the years.

We look forward to kicking off again next year in support of this very worthy cause.
